Friday my town shoot out...

St. Patrick's day! How do we celebrate?
We have to wear green or we get pinched. I can think of parades, eating corn beef and cabbage, and serving green beer at the bar I work at.
One of my fondest memories is learning an Irish song. " My Bonnie lies over the ocean, my Bonnie lies over the sea, my Bonnie lies over the over the ocean, Oh bring my back my Bonnie to me... to me. Bring back, bring back,oh bring back me bonnie to me...to me.
I really like to wear the Kiss me I'm Irish badge, and I like to wish everyone the luck of the Irish on this day.

I truly want you to have a very Happy St. Patrick's Day!  See ya soon.

FRIDAY MY TOWN SHOT OUT...

Our theme for March 11 is - Chaos! I have decided to show you A Nevada Camera club field trip I took last year, It was in Kelso, Cal.  It falls in to this theme because of time of decay, despair, turmoil and jumble.

The train no longer stops in this small town but we took a tour of the station it now a Museum and they preserved very nicely, there was a small cafe in side where most of us ate lunch.
Just a big pile of railroad ties
Even the tree's are up rooted.
Some times there was hardly any thing left of the house that use to be there.
This was on property that people still inhabited
 Total deconstruction and disarray.

It was sad  to see that town was deserted now.  Although in another way it was great that we got to see what it use to be and I love the old falling down buildings they have their own beauty.
The desert flowers were blooming they were so pretty.

JarieLyn took this picture of me while we were there. It was a fun field trip.
I would like to back there some day.

I hope you enjoyed the Chaos see you next time.

FRIDAY MY TOWN SHOT OUT...

I'm late I know it's Saturday night and I just got back from spending my day with Nevada Camera Club at the Horseman Park.   It was a fun day!

Our theme this week was the letter S...  so I decided to show some showman ship.

These people are in a Reining Competition.
The best action was watching them stop their horse at a high speed.
How about a stack of saddles for an S word?
Or a steel steer.
How about a stud of horse.
Here is another one but look it has one blue eye and one brown one isn't that Strange?
This one is a sleepy horse.
Last but not lest here I am with another stud. Really I don't remember if they were males or females  I was just trying to come up with an S word.

Hope you have enjoyed the the houses I know I did.  Thank you for stopping by.

Photographic Adventure Vegas event at Techatticup, near Nelson, Az.

Last Thursday 2-24-11,   I was able to work with some fun people doing what I really love,  taking pictures, playing with new camera  lens-babies  and meeting new people. On top of that I got to do it with my friend JarieLyn. Over all It was a great day!

JarieLyn and I picked up the lunch and snacks for everyone the night before for about 25 people. We had  to set up the table and help unload stuff from the trucks, not to hard. Than we got to participate in all three of the events.

We arrived around 8:00am and took a little drive to the river at the end of the road a few miles past Nelson, Nv.  The water was so calm it looked like glass and I really like the reflection of the mountains in the water.
The first event of the day was with Lens-babies. Their a lens that change the focus to make the out side of the picture blurry and the inside clear.
The next pictures are taken with the Fish Eye Lens

Now look very closely to this last picture above... do you see what I see? It's pretty strange because I see a   image of someone in the passenger widow. Do you see it now? I swear to you no one was there. It kind of freaks me out to tell you the truth.

The next thing we did was eat,  it was a good lunch we had sandwiches, chips and cookies after. Than we had a class about lighting and taking pictures of models out side.

A couple of the girls changed clothes can you tell which girls are the same?

The first girl in the cowgirl out fit it the same one leaning on the car and the last girl is the same girl crossing her arms. Pretty big difference.

The next and  last event we did was night shooting.  Lots of fun but it was really cold.
This Lady works at on of the show on the strip with her fire skills. She was very good!
We went out to dinner afterwards around 11:00  needless to say we were pretty tired when we got home. I do have to say it was all very worth it and I would like to do it again. I hope you have enjoyed the pictures and the experience I've shared with you until next time. Have a great day!
